This trouble shooting guide explains how to backup your wallet, delete your wallet, clear your browsers history / cache and cookies, reinstall and restore your wallet.
Step 1: Backup your wallet
If you have Zucoins in your wallet, please perform a wallet backup.
Otherwise if you have no Zucoins in your wallet, please continue to step 2.
Step 2: Delete wallet
Once you have backed up your wallet, you can delete your wallet app from your device.
Android
- Locate the Zucoins App on your device.
- Press and hold the Zucoins App icon.
- You will be prompted with, “Select”, “Add to Home” and “Uninstall” options.
- Select Uninstall.
Apple
- Locate the Zucoins App on your device.
- Press and hold the Zucoins App icon.
- You will be prompted with, “Edit Home Screen”, “Share Bookmark” and “Delete Bookmark” options.
- Select “Delete Bookmark”.
Step 3: Clear history / cache and cookies
Once your wallet has been deleted, you need to clear the browsers history / cache and cookies.
Android – Chrome App
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
- At the top right, tap More (3 vertical dots)
- Tap History. Clear browsing data
- At the top, choose a time range
- To delete everything, select All time
- Next to “Cookies and site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes
- Tap Clear data
On iPhone – Safari App
- Go to Settings
- Tap Safari
- Tap Clear History and Website Data
Step 4: Reinstalling the Zucoins Wallet
Once you have cleared your browsers history / cache and cookies, please download and install a new wallet.
If you get the message “wallet is already installed”, select the three dots in the top right corner and then select install. This should activate the installation process.
Step 5: Restore your wallet backup
Once you have reinstalled a new wallet, please restore your wallet backup.
