With Zucoins there are no miners, transaction validation is performed between peers.
Zucoins operated on commodity hardware, which is affordable to run and anyone can join. Commodity hardware is existing infrastructure, E.g. Web hosting – to run nodes for the cached peer information for transaction validation.
Data grows with the number of wallets transacting (in most cases two transactions per wallet), not by the numbers of wallets or number of transactions. This means two users can do 10,000 transactions and it’ll usually produce 4 pieces of data, two per user. In other blockchains, it would require 10k transactions to be kept somewhere.
Other tokens could introduce fees but we’ve made the base “Zucoins” token have no fees as we want to maximise growth.
