Zucoins are a peer-to-peer (P2P) next-generation cryptocurrency that facilitate real-time global value transfers on the Splitchain, the layer 1 network.
Celebrating it’s first full year of successful operations, the period has seen the activation of over four thousand wallets and tens of thousands of transactions.
To extend Splitchain and to increase its global utility, Zucoins is transitioning towards an open-source platform. This shift will open doors for developers, exchanges, advertisers and merchants to build upon Splitchain and customise the system to meet their specific requirements.
Since Launching Zucoins
Users have noticed a series of updates to the wallet, which is now on version 169. Many of these updates were in direct response to user feedback. Our aim was to improve stability, security and user experience across a diverse range of mobile phone models, especially for users with various levels of technical proficiencies.
While there will be more upgrades to come, we are now comfortable in stating that about 98% of our users have had, and continue to have, a successful experience when using their wallets.
Over the last four months, our main focus has further shifted to scalability and greater network decentralisation.
Our ultimate goal is to transition to an open-source and fully decentralised network. This allows for wider user engagement which will contribute to the improvement and expansion of the network whilst ensuring that Zucoins continues to deliver a seamless and efficient user experience.
Looking ahead
A critical component of the open-sourced decentralised network will be the Zubot. This automated transaction processing tool will be adding a number of transformative features including:
1. Transaction Automation
Zubot provides a versatile platform for third-party services to create unique solutions, potentially encompassing the buying, selling, or swapping of Zucoins in real time.
2. Interface/API Provision
Zubot offers an interface/API that third-party services can adapt to their systems, potentially integrating with payment services or crafting tailored retail solutions.
3. Loyalty Program Support
Zubot enables third-party services to smoothly implement loyalty programs. By automating transactions, it eases the rollout of these programs, thereby promoting increased customer engagement.
4. Customisable Usage
Third-party services have the opportunity to adapt Zubot to their specific needs whilst integrating with the SplitChain.
5. Order Execution
Zubot can execute orders provided by other services, such as exchanges, advertisers or merchants, ensuring the seamless transfer of Zucoins.
6. Transaction Verification
Zubot adds a layer of trust to transactions, similar to how the wallet operates, by confirming the authenticity of the wallets involved.
7. Notifications and Confirmations
Zubot has the capacity to facilitate notifications and confirmations, enhancing the user experience during transactions. As a tool, Zubot has the potential to stimulate the growth and usability of Zucoins across different global industry sectors. Automating transactions aims to enhance the user experience, increase efficiencies and to broaden the application of Zucoins.
Sharing wallets
We’re excited to observe that the Zubot will have a major transformative impact on the underlying Splitchain network, its products and users.
In the spirit of creating greater awareness of Zucoins and Splitchain, existing users will able to share a link with their friends and family to download new wallets and commence P2P trading.
This feature will be released at the end of June 2023.
