As per the Roadmap, the development team has been continuing to make upgrades to the Zucoin Wallet UI and UX, including the backup and restore function, which was released last month.
Like a physical wallet, individuals must also keep their digital wallets safe and secure.
The Zucoins backup process enables users to download an unencrypted backup file of their wallet with their sensitive private key. There are many ways to store this backup file, all with different benefits and drawbacks.
It is highly recommended that all users create a backup of their Zucoin Wallets. This is the only way a user can recover their wallet and coins if they lose or damage their device, are hacked, or accidentally delete their wallet.
It’s recommended that users do their own research to identify the most suitable method, as it is an individual’s responsibility to adopt good practices to protect their coins and wallet.
Here are a few examples of backup options:
Basic:
Save a copy of your unencrypted backup file directly on your device.
Moderate:
Transfer the backup file from your phone to a more secure external location for added security, such as a hard drive or a USB.
Advanced:
Transfer the backup file from your phone to 2 x encrypted external hard disk drives. Stored in 2 different secure locations.
