This trouble shooting guide refers to the Receivers balance being incorrect through connection loss.
The Receivers phone has lost connection; it is not a bug in the SplitChain network.
SplitChain has no control over your connection; however, we programmed it to account for network disruptions.
The connection from the network to your phone was interrupted during the transaction cycle; however, the transaction had processed far enough that it registered on the SplitChain network.
The Senders Wallet was updated from the network and received a success message.
However, the Receivers Wallet lost connection and hence received an error message.
On the SplitChain network, the totals for both wallets are correct.
The Receivers Wallet is incorrect, and the network needs to be able to update the total to match the network balance, which is always correct.
It can only be readjusted by the Receiver Wallet reconnecting to the network.
By doing a backup and restore, you force your phone to reconnect and check actual balance, and the expected transaction will appear.
Suppose they do not restore and, in the meantime, receive a transaction from someone else?
In that case, the system will again correct, and the Receivers Wallet will have a yellow adjustment balancing the total, not the original transaction, as the system only keeps the actual balance of the Wallet.
